The Black Country Social Media Cafe is run by:

 

David Stuart 

David is the founder of the Black Country Social Media Cafe.  He originally blogged about wanting to start a Black Country Social Media Cafe.  With lots of people showing interest, David took the plunge and got the network started.

 

David has a PhD in information science from looking at the reasons web sites link to one another, and currently works as a research fellow at the University of Wolverhampton. He is constantly looking for funding and collaborations to research all the interesting things on the web.

Simon Howes 

Simon keeps the blog, wiki, Twitter, Facebook and Google accounts up to date and moderated.  

 

Simon has a BSc (Hons) Sound Engineering and Production degree with Birmingham City University and was awarded Institute for Engineering and Technology and Sir Heny Royce Foundation's "Sir Henry Royce Award", one of the institutions highest awards for a young engineer.  As well as the BCSMC, he also runs a newly founded web site Created in the Black Country and Birmingham Eastside Blog.

Lee Allen

Lee is a freelance photographer who lives in Wolverhampton. Lee has justed started blogging more regularly after dabbling for a while. Lee specialises in wedding and music photography, but is happy to point his camera at anything.

Dan Slee 

Dan is a local government press officer. He started out life carrying pages of type for a hot metal newspaper and is perhaps the only former make-up compositor's assistant on Twitter. After 12 years as a journalist in the Black Country he joined Walsall Council where he works as a press officer where he looks to see how the council can join in the social media conversation.

 

He lives in Quarry Bank, has two children and counts Stoke City and playing cricket poorly as other interests.
